Champion Class: Pack race winners only, 1st – 5th at race level. Scouts must be present during competition.
Design Class: 1st – 5th Pack design winners. Design winners are not eligible to race in the champion class but may enter the open class race. Judging criteria: uniqueness, imagination, craftsmanship, color usage, detailing, graphics, and Scout participation.
Open Class: Any registered Cub Scout in the Elkhorn District, regardless of pack race results (No Adults or Siblings).
Outlaw Class: Adults, Scouts, and siblings are eligible.
All cars must meet car specifications and eligibility requirements as per Blue Grass Council Official Pinewood Derby Racing Specification and Rules (Rev (01-16) – see attached sheet). Absolutely no kit cars other than BSA Official Pinewood Derby kit cars will be allowed to race.

9:00 am – 12:00 pm Check-in, Inspection, and Weigh-In
12:00 pm – 12:30 pm Design Judging
12:30 pm Racing Begins
Inspection: All cars must pass inspection to be able to compete in the District Pinewood Derby race. An inspection committee will inspect each car and the Inspection Committee Chair will have the final decision on all inspection results.
All participants racing or competing will receive a special Pinewood Derby patch.
