Elkhorn District News

  • Georgetown Community Hospital Medical Explorer Post 1140: Meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday at 7:00 pm, GCH Solarium Room, 1140 Lexington Rd, Georgetown. Medical Explorers is open to males and females, ages 14-18. This program allows teens to explore various health careers through hands-on interactions with health care providers currently working in the field. Flag Placement at Camp Nelson

Thompson Family Cemetery Clean Up
Near Mallard Point Subdivision
Georgetown/Scott County
TBA Detective Eddie Hart with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office would like to partner with a Boy Scout troop to assist him and several SCSO deputies in cleaning up a cemetery site recently discovered. The cemetery is surrounded by a rock wall that has fallen over in most places and has weeds growing within the walls. Detective Hart estimates 4-6 hours to complete the cleanup and rebuild the wall. If you and/or your unit would like to assist, please contact Detective Eddie Hart at (502) 863-7855 (Office) or (859) 576-3709 (Cell) to volunteer and schedule a cleanup date.
